Business Development
Word of mouth is a good business and a bad plan. It works until the month it doesn't, and by then you are three weeks from an empty diary with no way to fill it.
What you get: Work coming in on purpose, instead of by luck and word of mouth.
What we run
- Who you are actually for, and what those customers are worth — written down
- The offer, priced and described so that saying yes is easy
- The channels that fit your trade — local search, referrals, repeat customers, direct outreach
- Follow-up that does not depend on you remembering
- One monthly number set — enquiries, jobs won, and what each job cost to win
What stays yours
We are not trying to take over your business. This is the part only you can do.
- The relationship. People still buy from you, not from us.
- Pricing, and deciding which customers you want more of
- Turning up to the calls we book
Demand is not usually the problem
Most small businesses that feel stuck are not short of demand. They are short of a system for catching it. The enquiry that came in while you were up a ladder. The customer from eighteen months ago who would happily buy again if anyone asked. The quote that never got followed up because following up feels like nagging.
We start there, because it is free.
Then we build the repeatable part
Once the leaks are closed, we work out where new customers actually come from for your trade in your area, and build one channel properly rather than five badly.
And we tell you what it cost
Every month: how many enquiries, how many turned into work, and what you spent to get them. If a channel does not pay for itself, we stop doing it and say so.
Questions people ask
Is this cold calling?
Not usually, and never in your name without agreeing it first. For most trades and local services the fastest wins are the customers you already have, the ones who enquired and never got followed up, and being findable when someone searches. Outreach comes later, if it fits.
Will you promise me a number of leads?
No. Anyone promising a lead count before they have seen your business is quoting from a template. We will agree a target after the audit, when we can see what a customer is worth to you and what the channel realistically produces.
What if the work you bring in is the wrong kind?
Then we got the targeting wrong and we fix it. That is why we write down who you are for before spending anything on getting in front of them.
Tell us what is slipping
One conversation, thirty minutes, no pitch deck. If we are not right for you we will say so.
