How it works
Four stages. The first two take about two weeks and tell you whether this is worth doing at all. Nothing is built until we can both see what it is for.
01 · Week 1
Onboarding
We write down how your business actually works today.
- Two hours with you, on the phone or in person, going through what happens from the moment someone contacts you to the moment you get paid.
- We get access to what already exists — the site, the inbox, the invoicing, whatever you use to keep track.
- You get a single written document describing your own business. Most owners have never seen this.
Your part: Two hours, and being honest about what is not working.
02 · Week 1–2
Audit
We show you where the money is leaking, in order of size.
- We work out what each gap is costing — the late quotes, the enquiries nobody followed up, the invoices sent three weeks after the job.
- We put a number on the top three, and say which one we would fix first.
- If the honest answer is that you do not need us, this is where we tell you.
Your part: One hour to go through it and disagree where we got it wrong.
03 · Weeks 2–6
Build
We fix the biggest leak first, then the next one.
- One thing at a time, in the order that pays back fastest. Not a six-week project that shows you nothing until the end.
- Everything we build is yours — accounts in your name, documents in your possession, no proprietary system you cannot leave.
- You see something working in the first fortnight.
Your part: Answering questions, and approving anything that costs money.
04 · Ongoing
Run
It becomes ours to run. You go back to the work.
- The routine runs whether or not you had a good week — quotes out, invoices out, follow-ups sent, enquiries answered.
- A short weekly summary — what came in, what went out, what is waiting on you.
- A monthly report with the numbers that matter — enquiries, jobs won, and what each cost to win.
Your part: A short weekly call, and decisions only you can make.
Questions people ask
How long until something actually changes?
You see the first fix working inside the first fortnight. We pick the first thing to build partly on how fast it pays back, because a retained service that shows nothing for six weeks is indistinguishable from one that is not working.
What if we get to the audit and it is not worth doing?
Then we say so and you stop. We would rather lose a retainer than take one from a business that does not need it, because the businesses we want are the ones who tell someone else about us.
Do I have to hand over passwords?
You give us access under our own logins wherever the software supports it, so you can see exactly what we have and remove it in one click. Where a shared login is the only option we will say so first.
What happens if I want to stop?
You keep everything. Domain, hosting, website, documents, processes, customer records — all in your name throughout, not held in an account we control.
